Methodology
Every bet has a fair price: the odds that reflect the true probability of an
outcome with no house margin. Sportsbooks embed a margin (the vig) so both
sides sum to more than 100%. EVQBet devigs the sharp two-sided market to
recover the true probability, running multiplicative, additive, and power
devig simultaneously and returning the most conservative result. Comparisons
require exact line matching — the sharp book and the retail book must price
the identical number, with no tolerance — so a half-point difference never
produces a distorted edge. Every bet can be logged and tracked to settlement
with live closing-line value (CLV), broken down by market, sport, book, and
edge tier.

How does devigging work?
Devigging strips the sportsbook's built-in margin out of a line to recover
the true underlying probability. EVQBet runs three methods in parallel —
multiplicative, additive, and power — and returns the most conservative
result, so the edge you see is the floor of what the market implies.
Why does EVQBet require exact line matching?
For a comparison to be valid, the sharp book and the retail book must price
the exact same line. A half-point difference reflects a meaningfully different
probability, so EVQBet requires exact matches with no tolerance. If the sharp
book doesn't offer the same number, no edge is shown.
What about arbitrage, middles, and pick'em?
The arbitrage scanner flags opposite-side pairs whose combined implied
probability drops below 100% and shows the exact stake split. The middle
detector finds markets priced at different lines across books where the final
result can land in between. The pick'em builder devigs each PrizePicks and
Underdog leg individually and recommends the optimal Over or Under direction.
